Back in the late 90’s is when I started to learn and do meditation. When I really became aware of meditation, was when my mentor Elizabeth (medium) invited me to join her group of people she selected and assembled to what she called a Circle. She invited clients of her’s that she thought had psychic potential.
We would darken the room (no light at all) and then she would guide us in a meditation. In the beginning, we would be still for about a 15 to 30-minute period. When we came out of the meditation, she would ask each one of us to what we experienced. Did we receive anything or visualize anything? Many did pick up on different things, but I did not. I continued going to Circle, and it was almost a year before it happened for me – when I received anything. Elizabeth once asked why I kept coming. I told her that I enjoyed sitting in the energy and watching the others develop.
During this period I use to practice at home. When I first started, I would only be able to quiet my mind for 5 to 10 minutes at a time. But I kept at it and over time it got easier and easier and lasted for longer periods of time.
Then, through the years of developing my practice of Energy Healing, I realized, as I explained in my Blog: The Patient and The Holistic Healer the best way for a Being to help in healing themselves, is through meditation. It is to quiet the mind and draw on the Etheric Energy and bring the Healing Energy into their body and guide it to what needs to be looked after in Disrupting the Blockages (making the energy flow congruently again).
Meditation is also about breathing and quieting the mind (the voice inside your mind). Learning to meditate would very beneficial in many aspects as I will explain in my next Blog: Meditation As A Tool. The key is, to take the time for yourself (if you can) daily. Over time this will help immensely in every aspect of your life.
